Human world – a place where animals can be famous
Autor: Karolina Pluta
An animal's eyes have the power to speak a great language (Martin Buber)
Since ancient times people have been domesticating animals to breed them or keep as pets. Roman Emperor Nero had a pet tiger called Phoebe. She used to eat meals at the royal table accompanying the emperor and his guests. The first US President George Washington had many pets including a lemur called Jackson and a messenger pigeon Edmont. Many saints were well-known for their love towards animals, for example St. Anthony of Padua who preached to fish or St. Francis of Assisi who talked with wolves.
